COLD BIRDS

Haha, I had to stop up and take a picture of these wonderful seagulls that stood on the icy lake in the park on my way to work. It was wonderful to see how they puffed up their feathers so that it looked like they were wearing layers of winter clothing. The round seagulls were of course doing it to keep themselves warm so that they would have air between their feather isolating them like a thick jacket. Yet they still looked rather dissatisfied with their situation as they stood there among ducks, coots and moorhen waiting for the snow to melt and the spring to arrive. It was actually in the air. Just a couple more days and it will get warmer.
