I am in love with these fellas. Woah, how awesome are they?! Seriously, they stand so beautifully in the garden at this time of year where most of the veggies are harvested and eaten. I have never had spinach beets before now, and I am addicted right this very moment. I love to pick them and place them in a bowl together with the other vegetables from the garden. They are so extremely decorative that I it makes the entire bowl explode with colours.
Spinach beets are very easy to have, and they stay for two years before you have to sow new ones. They taste nicely raw in salads, but I like them way more when they are cooked – maybe with some olive oil, sea salt and potatoes. Easy, simple and tasty. You should try these wonderful beings. Besides, it is nice to have something colourful in the garden at this time of year, don’t you think?
