Even though the days continue to be mild, this august is slowly growing redder, darker and colder. We might not notice it yet, but the green colour of the trees is fading, the mornings are suddenly grey as if the sun itself has decided to wake up later than usual, and despite it being so hot that it is only fair to spend the days at the beach, there is a chilly wind in the morning – giving you a promise of autumn.
Hmm, I want to quote Lady Galadriel from Lord of the Rings: “I feel it in the water, I feel it in the earth, I smell it in the air”. It is a crisp scent of autumn. The fruits on the trees are mixing in with the scent, sweetening it and almost distracting you from the fading leaves. Some are already red, some are yellow and some are on the way. Have you not noticed it? The leaves have started to fall.
